WWII

World War Two (abbreviated to WWII), also known as the Second World War, was a global war which lasted from 1939 to 1945. Most of the world’s countries eventually formed two opposing military alliances: the Allies and the Axis. Important figures in the conflict included Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt.
